Kayla Reynolds is employed by Macy’s as a Personal Stylist. This website was created to make it easier for prospective clients to request and prepare for styling appointments with Kayla.
Information submitted directly through this website is initially collected and stored through the Style with Kayla system and is handled according to this Notice. Macy’s privacy notice does not govern that initial collection and storage. Once information is separately received or maintained by Macy’s, Macy’s handling of that copy is governed by Macy’s applicable practices and policies.
By submitting an appointment request, completing a client profile, accessing a private Style Profile, or otherwise providing information through this website, you acknowledge the practices described in this Notice.
Information We Collect
When you request or prepare for a styling appointment, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, contact information, preferred contact method, requested appointment type, preferred dates and times, clothing sizes, measurements, fit concerns, styling preferences, budget, lifestyle needs, event details, brand preferences, notes, photographs or inspiration images, appointment communications, appointment history, Style Profile information, and privacy requests.
You are not required to provide every category listed above. Please provide only information reasonably necessary to help prepare for your appointment.
Information You Should Not Submit
Do not submit Social Security numbers, government-identification numbers, bank-account details, card numbers, security codes, Macy’s account passwords, email passwords, gift-card credentials, medical records, health-insurance information, or other highly sensitive information unrelated to styling services.
This website is not intended to collect or process payment credentials or access credentials for a Macy’s account.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the website, the website or its technical providers may automatically collect limited information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, pages accessed, date and time of access, referring page, interactions, security events, diagnostics, error logs, and cookie or session identifiers.
This information may be used to operate and secure the website, prevent misuse, diagnose technical issues, and understand basic website performance.
How We Use Your Information
We may use information submitted through this website to review and respond to appointment requests; confirm, decline, cancel, or suggest a different time; prepare for appointments; understand styling goals, sizes, fit needs, budget, and preferences; identify potentially suitable merchandise; manage client profiles and private Style Profiles; communicate about appointments; process privacy requests; maintain records; protect the website; detect misuse; investigate disputes or security issues; enforce the Terms of Use; comply with legal obligations; and establish or defend legal rights.
Information submitted here will not be used to access your Macy’s online or credit account, apply for Macy’s credit, complete a merchandise purchase, retrieve your Macy’s purchase history, obtain card information, or enroll you in Macy’s marketing programs.
Appointment Requests
Submitting an appointment request does not create a confirmed appointment. Your request remains pending until Kayla confirms it, declines it, cancels it, or proposes a different time.
Appointment-request information may be retained even when a request is declined, canceled, or never confirmed, subject to the retention practices below.
Relationship to Macy’s
Kayla provides Personal Stylist services in her capacity as a Macy’s employee. Appointments requested through this website are intended to be provided through Macy’s.
The Style with Kayla website is an independent appointment-request and preparation tool. It does not replace Macy’s retail, customer-service, payment, return, credit, loyalty, or official appointment systems.
Information submitted through this website does not automatically become Macy’s information and is not automatically transmitted to Macy’s.
Limited information may later be entered into or communicated through a Macy’s system when reasonably necessary to schedule, document, or provide an appointment. This may include your name, contact details, appointment date and time, requested service, status, and other limited details. Detailed styling information maintained only in your Style with Kayla profile will not automatically become part of Macy’s systems.
Once information is separately received, recorded, or maintained by Macy’s, Macy’s handling of that copy is governed by Macy’s applicable privacy practices and policies.
Private Style Profile Links
Confirmed clients may receive a private Style Profile link containing appointment-preparation or styling information. The link is intended only for the client to whom it is issued and should not be published, posted publicly, forwarded, or made available to another person.
Unless otherwise stated, the link will expire 30 days after issue. Expiration does not necessarily mean the related client information has been deleted.
Please notify Kayla promptly if a private link or profile is lost, unintentionally shared, sent to the wrong recipient, exposed through a compromised account, or accessed without authorization. We may deactivate or replace a link when reasonably necessary.
Merchandise and Payment Information
This website does not process Macy’s merchandise purchases. Purchases are completed separately through Macy’s and are governed by Macy’s applicable privacy, pricing, payment, promotion, shipping, return, and transaction policies.
Do not submit card information through this website. Style with Kayla does not independently receive complete card numbers, Macy’s credit credentials, or Macy’s online-account passwords through the appointment-request process.
Storage and Security
Client information is stored in a secured database. Administrative access is restricted through safeguards that include multi-factor or two-step authentication.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, such as restricted administrative access, authentication, access controls, private interfaces, limited-duration client links, security controls, logging, and hosting safeguards.
No website, database, transmission method, private link, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure or continuously available. You are responsible for protecting the devices, email accounts, telephone numbers, and private links used to access website features.
Security Incidents
If we discover unauthorized access to client information, we may investigate, take reasonable steps to contain the incident and protect affected systems, and provide notice when required by applicable law.
The content, timing, and method of notice will depend on the nature of the incident, information involved, likelihood of misuse, available facts, and applicable legal requirements.
Retention
Written booking records, client-profile information, appointment history, Style Profile information, and related communications may generally be retained for up to two years after your most recent appointment or meaningful client interaction.
Certain information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, employment, regulatory, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, agreement-enforcement, recordkeeping, or legal-rights purposes.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, it may be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from secure backups.
Deletion from the Style with Kayla system does not delete information separately entered into or collected through a Macy’s-operated system.
Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests
You may contact Kayla to request access to information associated with your Style with Kayla profile, correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, deletion from the Style with Kayla system, closure of an active Style Profile link, or additional information about how your information has been handled.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. A request may be denied or limited where retention is reasonably necessary for legal compliance, tax or accounting obligations, records, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, agreement enforcement, protection of legal rights, or another lawful purpose.
Requests made to Style with Kayla apply only to information controlled through this independent website and do not automatically apply to information separately maintained by Macy’s.
Marketing Communications
Appointment confirmations, scheduling messages, appointment preparation, Style Profile communications, and direct responses to requests are service-related communications.
Acknowledging this Notice does not authorize Style with Kayla or Macy’s to enroll you in optional promotional email or text marketing. Any required marketing consent must be requested separately by the party sending those messages.
Photographs, Testimonials, and Promotional Use
Photographs, testimonials, names, communications, and identifying information submitted for appointment preparation will not be used publicly for advertising, social media, testimonials, or promotion solely because you acknowledged this Notice.
Promotional use requiring permission will be addressed through a separate written authorization. Permission given to Style with Kayla does not automatically authorize Macy’s to use the material, and permission given to Macy’s does not automatically authorize Style with Kayla to use it.
Children’s Information
The website and its online appointment features are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information online directly from a child under 13 without appropriate involvement from a parent or legal guardian.
A parent or legal guardian should submit and manage appointment information for a child under 13.
Third-Party Websites and Services
The website may link to Macy’s websites, retail products, maps, social media, communications providers, and other third-party services.
This Notice applies only to information handled through the independently maintained Style with Kayla website. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party privacy, security, content, availability, or data-handling practices.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice to reflect changes in website features, appointment practices, technology, service providers, security practices, legal requirements, or business or employment circumstances.
The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or directly to affected clients when appropriate.
